At UQ, students are our largest data subject group. We collect a large and vast amount of data about students, ranging from personal and demographical information, data about previous studies, grades, logs of interactions with online learning materials, and more. This data is also used in a number of ways, such as for administrative activities, reporting, and to improve student outcomes and experiences. Therefore, it is incredibly important for us to understand student expectations in regards to the collection, handling and use of their data.
By participating in this in person session, you will have the opportunity to provide input and feedback on how UQ communicates with you about and uses your personal information.
All participants will receive a $10 gift voucher.
These sessions are part of a research project with ethics approval. The insights obtained will be used to develop resources, procedures and processes to ensure student data is handled ethically and responsibly. It will also influence how students are informed about the use of student data at the University.
Please note that registrations are an expression of interest to participate. If more registrations are received than can be catered for, participants will be selected at random. You will be notified via email to confirm whether or not you have been selected to participate.
